When the AdventHealth network of care united under one name, Florida Hospital Tampa became AdventHealth Tampa.

July 23, 2019 — AdventHealth has named Erik Wangsness to the position of CEO for AdventHealth Wesley Chapel. Wangsness will assume leadership of the hospital on September 1, 2019, and report to Bruce Bergherm, senior executive officer of acute care services for AdventHealth's West Florida Division.

Wesley Chapel, FL (June 7, 2024) – Ground has been broken and construction is progressing rapidly at Orlando Health's new Pasco County hospital. Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch Hospital will open with 102 beds and can accommodate up to 300 at ultimate build out.

Tampa General Hospital's roots on Davis Islands date back to 1927. It was known as Tampa Municipal Hospital when it opened with 186 beds, alongside the Gordon Keller School of Nursing. A lot has taken place since those days.
