“Lambda Chi Alpha chapters are not in the public relations business. They are, however, actively and continually involved with community service because their members are interested in helping improve the community.”
- The Paedagogus, 49th edition
Lambda Chi Alpha has a mission to be a positive and active organization in the RPI and Troy community. Through hard work, cooperation and an honest desire to improve the surrounding community we can help bring PRI and Troy to their full potential.
Our most well known service activity is the annual North American Food drive and our Watermelon Bash that raises money for the Food Drive. But we also work year round and on a smaller scale to help our where we can in the Troy community. One of our recurring projects is the monthly cleaning/raking/shoveling of Barker Park, at the corner of State and 3rd Streets. We also participate annually in the Relay for Life held at RPI in the Spring.
